While it is true that reality would teach you great lessons, let us not forget that some of the greatest wisdom in this world were already written. Because as unique as your experiences may be, there would always be that one person who felt the same exact way at one point.

Hidden beneath the fiction and biography of great authors, written in the blogs of enlightened souls, recorded in the journals of wide eyes, is the story of your life.

Freudian Slip by Erica Orloff
Time: 8:25 PM

Its a classic fairytale with an added twist of heavenly intervention, ghosts and demons into the twist. If you're into fluffy fairy tales then this is the book for you. Erica Orloff treads the fine line between classics and being cheesy. But to her credit, she has managed to pull this off with aplomb. Its whimsical enough to just put a smile on your face.

Verdict: Very Good Read!

This book is a wonderful read for teenagers and frankly anyone. The message is delivered short, sweet and concise! The anecdotes are amazingly refreshing and easy to relate to, not to mention at times able to coax a chuckle out of the reader. It was this book that yours truly brought to China for direction, encouragement and also laughs. It's wonderfully wise truths are easy to actually apply in your life and I have to admit I've read the book over and over again.

The Duke Next Door by Celeste Bradley
Time: 5:25 AM

Yet another tantalizing novel by Bradley. Despite the simplistic storyline, she has managed to transform it into a wonderful tale with delightful scenes and heart-wrenching moments all the same. Deidre Cantor sweeps in to marry the duke, having to deal with the peices left behind by the duke's first disastrous marriage and the recent failed engagement to her cousin. With her determination to posses his heart, the two cross swords in ways guaranteed to tickle a grin or even a laugh out of you. Not to mention a certain unexpected baggage the comes along with the deal of having the duke as her husband, read how Deidre transform it into her ally in her quest for the duke's heart. Bradley's skill is most evident when her words evoke emotions from within the reader, beckoning the reader to join the protagonist on the roller coaster ride to finally get the ultimate prize, the duke's love.
Verdict: Must Read!

Talk Me Down by Victoria Dahl
Time: 8:26 AM

Victoria Dahl has once again proven her ability to please in this delightful novel with her trademark style in hot steamy scenes and an array of twists and turns in the plot that is guaranteed to amuse and enthrall readers. The protagonist Molly Jennings plays the role of a successful writer of erotic fiction ( hmm a reflection of the writer herself?) who returns back to her hometown to ignite passions with the one who stole her heart once, chief of police Ben Lawson (mmMMmm a man in uniform). What should have been a cliched plot has been transformed by the witty and ingenious writing of Victoria Dahl, charming the hearts of her readers. Victoria Dahl had proved her talents exceed beyond historical romances to modern day love stories that have readers swooning.
Verdict: Must read!
also look out for :
-The wicked west by Victoria Dahl writing as Holly Summers, a.k.a. Molly Jennings
-Start me up by Victoria Dahl to catch the juicy story of Molly's best friend Lori and her brother Quinn

The Love Academy of Belinda Jones
Time: 7:33 AM

The story of this read revolves around a the protagonist , jounalist Kirsty Bailey, who goes undercover to The Love Academy in Venice to find out if the infamous school is just a ruse of escorts. With this rather intriguing story baseline, i have been eargely awaiting the arival of this book into my hands. However, this read has been rather disappointing and is very much incomparable to Belinda Jone's previous books. Her writing in this book has been dull and dry with a rather predictable storyline. The lengthy, monotonous descriptions of hotels, bars and restaurants and the food and drink served therein is unbearably boring. To put things rather simply-there isn't even a plot to this book that might keep you vaguely interested. There was very little focus on the characters so I found it hard to identify with them, or believe in them. However, this book does have a little bright spot going for it. This book is perfect if you are feeling a bit low and want some delicious escapsim. Jones lovingly describes Venice expertly with such a passion that it makes the reader feel as if they have been transported to the scene itself. Also, while the story is nauseatingly cliched, there are some points of humor that entertains the reader.
With chick-lit like this book, it is rather expected to be rather shallow and light, with little profound events, however, Jones has taken 'shallow' to a whole new level as she delivers this story as dry as mouldy cheese and feeds readers chiched lines time and time again.

Verdict: do not read!! this book should come with a warning label like those on sleeping pills!!
