The Love Academy of Belinda Jones
Time: 7:33 AM

The story of this read revolves around a the protagonist , jounalist Kirsty Bailey, who goes undercover to The Love Academy in Venice to find out if the infamous school is just a ruse of escorts. With this rather intriguing story baseline, i have been eargely awaiting the arival of this book into my hands. However, this read has been rather disappointing and is very much incomparable to Belinda Jone's previous books. Her writing in this book has been dull and dry with a rather predictable storyline. The lengthy, monotonous descriptions of hotels, bars and restaurants and the food and drink served therein is unbearably boring. To put things rather simply-there isn't even a plot to this book that might keep you vaguely interested. There was very little focus on the characters so I found it hard to identify with them, or believe in them. However, this book does have a little bright spot going for it. This book is perfect if you are feeling a bit low and want some delicious escapsim. Jones lovingly describes Venice expertly with such a passion that it makes the reader feel as if they have been transported to the scene itself. Also, while the story is nauseatingly cliched, there are some points of humor that entertains the reader.
With chick-lit like this book, it is rather expected to be rather shallow and light, with little profound events, however, Jones has taken 'shallow' to a whole new level as she delivers this story as dry as mouldy cheese and feeds readers chiched lines time and time again.

Verdict: do not read!! this book should come with a warning label like those on sleeping pills!!
